We make films that move people to move people.
What does that mean?
Our mission is to create powerful and transformative stories that move us to action. As a film company focused on feature narrative and documentary films, we strive to move people through the art of cinema. We believe in the power of films to inspire, to educate, and to unite.
How do we do that?
We believe that true storytelling begins with us - the filmmakers - being personally moved by the stories we tell. It is this connection to the material that allows us to create films that resonate with audiences.
We partner with a diverse team of artists and technicians who are also deeply invested in the stories we tell. By fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment, we strive to create an experience that is beautiful and empowering for all who work on our films.
We believe in the power of cinema to impact audiences, and we take that responsibility seriously. Every film we create is crafted with the goal of connecting people with stories that restore faith in humanity and inspire them to take action.
Why is that our goal?
We ourselves have been deeply impacted by art and film. We know firsthand the power it has to inspire positive change in our lives. From going back to school to changing careers to improving our health, films have played a major role in shaping who we are and who we want to be. Now it is time for us to pay it forward.

Our Story
Aaron and Daniel first met while working at Hickory Films, where they honed their skills in writing, producing, editing, and directing feature films, television, and music videos. Over the years, they formed a close-knit partnership and shared a common vision for the kind of films they wanted to make.
Despite their successes at Hickory Films, they both knew that their true passion was to create their own film company, one that aligned with their values and individual talents. After several discussions, they decided to leave Hickory Films, and Embark Features was born.
